Painters of the Flinders Ranges

Biography

Kay Bridge

An Artist, Graphic Designer and Secondary Teacher who lives on the edge of the Barossa. I love portraiture of animals and people and the Australian landscape. My weapons of choice presently are pastels and acrylics. I've been painting, drawing and making images since I was a small child and I don't think I will ever stop.

I s tarted things artistic on the Central Coast NSW airbrushing panel vans, motor cycles and surf boards way back in the late seventies. Then I moved with my family to the Mid North Coast NSW where I continued to exhibit and tutor airbrushing techniques.

We all moved to South Australia last century to study and I continued to exhibit. I am currently a member of The Painters of the Flinders Ranges, a group of enthusiastic professional artists who paint the Flinders Ranges. I love to spend a lot of time, with my swag and camera at the ready, in the Northern Flinders Ranges at a place called Warraweena Conservation Park.

I am also a member of The Royal South Australian Society of Artists and of the Pastel Artists of South Australia. In May 2010 I shall be exibiting pastel work in New York USA.
